CHENNAI: FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR KILAMBAKKAM BUS TERMINUS

A great initiative taken by the Tamil Nadu goverment to ease the conjestion at the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT), Koyambedu: The creation of a new bus-terminus for at Kilambakam on the GST road has been kick-started with the laying of the foundation stone by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. With this project, all south-bound buses will now depart from their bus bay at Kilambakam. The estimated project cost is INR 393.74 CR on 44.74 acres of land. This is expected to cater to over 15 lakh passengers with a generous parking space to accommodate over 250 buses, 270 cars, and over 3500 two-wheelers.
